Appalachian Farms of Cranberry is a family-owned and operated wholesale nursery with a family background strong in the agricultural business. The combined experience of Cale Smith and Matthew Horney has made Appalachian Farms of Cranberry what it is today. Both Cale’s and Matthew’s grandfathers were in the Christmas tree and nursery business. Growing up and working around this type of business gave Cale and Matthew the knowledge and experience to develop Appalachian Farms of Cranberry into one of the leading nursery growers/wholesalers in western North Carolina.
